About Ayers Well Drilling

:: Water Well Drilling & Personalized Water Solutions ::

For over half a century, Ayers Well Drilling has been providing a safe and dependable water source for Northeast Ohio’s families and businesses.  Ayers Well Drilling was founded by Howard E. (Sam) Ayers in 1948.  Howard fashioned a homemade rig using an automobile engine to drill a well on his own property in Kirtland, Ohio.  Soon neighbors and friends began asking Howard to drill wells for them and before he knew it, Ayers Well Drilling was born.

Howard continued to gradually grow the business throughout the 1950’s and 1960’s developing a loyal customer base in Lake and Geauga counties.  After Sam’s untimely death in 1970, his youngest son Jim returned from college and began running the company that he had been working for with his father since he was fourteen years old.

From the 1970’s through the 1990’s the business grew to include more employees and more modern equipment including rotary drilling rigs, pump hoist trucks, excavation equipment and several service crews.

Today Ayers Well Drilling is a full service water provider.  From new water system construction to existing water system service and maintenance, Ayers Well Drilling is committed to providing personalized water solutions to all of our customers regardless of size and scope.
